My Favourite White Paints

Apr 15, 2020

I have been getting asked this question A LOT lately and decided a blog post was a must for this topic!

Oh white paint, where do I even begin. Picking white paint should be one of the simpler choices, you would think, but it can be one of the most challenging colours to pick for people! There are so many different shades of white from cool and blue tones, to yellow and warm tones. Not to mention, a lot of times it can be super deceiving when looking at it on a paint chip or a small sample. This can make things get very overwhelming, very fast.

I have rounded up a few of my go-to whites to help you through your decision making process!

Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace: I love this white. This is my go-to white for someone who is looking for a beautiful, bright and crisp white. The cool blue undertones make this white great for kitchen cabinets, ceilings and trim. Also great on walls.

Behr Polar Bear: This is such a little gem! I love using this white for trims and ceilings as it still has some warmth to it but is such a bright and clean white without having those yellow undertones.

Benjamin Moore Simply White: This is hands down, my favourite white. I love the timeless and inviting feel this white has. This white has slight yellow undertones, while still giving you a bright and clean look. This makes it perfect for walls, trim, doors, you name it.

Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee: Another great white that is sure to warm up any space. The name really says it all! Soft and creamy with taupey-gray undertones.

Benjamin Moore White Dove: Another very popular white from Benjamin Moore. This white is inviting, soft and warm with a hint of gray undertones.

Benjamin Moore Classic Gray: Don’t let the word “gray” throw you off! This is another go-to of mine because of its warm and neutral tones. This colour can actually pull out a very slight yellow undertone which makes it a perfect off white for living rooms, bedrooms and more!

Sherwin Williams Aesthetic White: This off-white has a beige tone to it making it perfect for any space. The golden tones are sure to warm up any space and can still pull out some gray tones in cooler lighting, making it best of both worlds!
